Tupac Shakur, known by his stage names 2Pac and Makaveli, is often hailed as one of the greatest rappers in the history of hip-hop.

Aside from his music career, Tupac was also an actor, poet, and activist. He was known for addressing contemporary social issues in his music, making him a voice for many marginalized communities.

"West Side" wasn't just a call to the West Coast; for Tupac, it was also a representation of a lifestyle and the struggles and pride of being from the West Coast during the East Coast-West Coast rivalry in hip-hop during the 1990s.

Tupac was deeply influenced by the Black Panther movement. Both his parents were members, which instilled in him a sense of social justice from a young age.

He released the double album "All Eyez on Me" in 1996, which was one of the first ever double albums in hip-hop and is considered one of the genre's crowning achievements.

Tupac was known for his distinct tattoo "Thug Life" across his abdomen. For him, THUG LIFE was an acronym that stood for "The Hate U Give Little Infants F***s Everybody," highlighting the cycle of societal issues.

Despite his tragic passing at the young age of 25, Tupac's influence continues to be felt today, with many modern artists citing him as a major source of inspiration.
